Our Mares

Here at Rafter 54 we are about elevating quality.  Our horses are born at 9,000 feet which will ensure they stand up to any type of performance activity, as it has long been thought that horses born at high altitude will have more endurance capacity.  We truly want to make sure that the next horse you own is above and beyond.  Start elevating quality by adding elevation!

Gallo Watch

2013 AQHA Grey Mare

A big hip on this mare to catch the eyes, this Shining Spark, Gallo Del Cielo, and Watch Joe Jack mare has us excited for her future foals!

This beautiful grey mare passes bone, confirmation and color onto her foals. She has the foot, mind, and color and she is the best. A barn favorite, we love all of her offspring.

2014 AQHA Bay Mare

With names like Gallo Del Cielo and Shining Spark on her papers, this mare is unsurprisingly shapey and easy on the eyes.

A thick, beautiful bay mare, she has consistently thrown foals that definitely make you turn your head. With lots of leg, good conformation, and even better mind, she is an easy favorite to have.

2017 AQHA Palomino Mare

A grand daughter of Shining Spark on top, and Gallo Del Cielo on the bottom, we are always excited to see this mare’s foals every year.

This beautiful golden mare and is a personal favorite with a top tier pedigree this mare throws big boned foals that are super smart and friendly.

Teggy Gallo

2014 AQHA Bay Mare

Gallo Del Cielo on the top side, and Shining Spark on the bottom, it’s a great cross that shows in the conformation of this typey mare. Her foals have been easy to work with!

A fun stout mare who is consistent and throws fun stouts colts. On the smaller side, she throws great horses that are perfect for healing and or breakaway.

Lil Buck Gallo

2016 AQHA Buckskin Mare

This is a great cross of excellent lineage, being a granddaughter of Gallo Del Cielo on top and Two Eyed Red Buck on the bottom.

This big sweet mare has been throwing great colts with big feet amazing confirmation and sensible personality. This mare is built like a tank and throws babies that are ready to go in any direction.

2011 AQHA Bay Mare

This mare has a classic ranch horse look, with a lot of class. She’s Pitzer bred, with Watch Joe Jack and Mr Baron Red, she’s bound to present potential in her foals.

Our friendliest mare, she passes her good mind onto her offspring. This amazing Pitzer bred mare is one to take to take a second look at. She raises bone confirmation and mind, and always super friendly and easy to get along with.

2012 AQHA Sorrel Mare

Two Id Bartender, and Two Eyed Red Buck, with a whole lot of shape and eye appeal, this mare has a great history for producing shapey foals.

This Pitzer bred mare is such a sweetheart, and built like a tank. She passes on great hip, hoof, and confirmation to her foals. She is very friendly, and makes sure that her foals are friendly, too.

Miss Nu Bucks

2012 AQHA Buckskin Mare

Ranchy and classy, this is a mare that has a lot to offer. She is a granddaughter of Nu Chex To Cash on top, and Two Eyed Red Buck on the bottom.

It’s hard to not have your attention caught by this buckskin mare. She makes pretty babies with lots of personality. She is smart with a good hoof and looks amazing. Super friendly and passes her sweet demeanor onto her foals.

2019 AQHA Grey Mare

This is a young granddaughter to great Playgun and Reminic with a great work ethic and solid start as a riding horse. We are excited to add her to our remuda.

A kind hearted grey mare that you can ride, has been taken out to the prairie and moved cattle, trail ridden, and raised her first foal. Super smart, willing to do anything.
