Its Tuff To Be Smart, 2019 AQHA Bay Stallion, “Nimrod”<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A young stallion with a lot of potential, we are welcoming another crop of Its Tuff to Be Smart’s, more affectionately known as “Nimrod,” this summer and we are happy to have them! Easy to be around, these foals are a pleasure to have. We think his cross of being an own son of Woody Be Tuff and out of a money earning daughter of High Brow Cat, he will add cow and athleticism to our already well-bred mares. In 2023, Nimrod has campaigned with Pullara Performance Horses in the ARHFA and the AQHA Team Ropings events, and we have hopes to continue his roping career with us while standing him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nimrod is already proving to be of good mind and sensibilities, and we look forward to riding him more this summer and being a part of his bright future! The name “Nimrod” comes from a place of affection: Mary-Anne’s late grandfather, an amazing international polo player in his own right, had a fantastic polo pony named Nimrod. This horse was one of his favorites for his athleticism and great looks as a big flashy bay. We felt that the name fits, and we are excited for this stallion’s future here at Rafter 54.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Woody Be Tuff is an NCHA lifetime money-earner of $351,063 and a National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Open and Non-Pro Futurities semifinalist. He is the No. 2 All-Time Leading Sire of Ranch Horse Money-Earners, the No. 5 Leading Sire of Reined Cow Horse Money-Earners, and is a 2021 Top 12 Leading Sire of Cutting Money-Earners. He is currently owned by Solo Select Horses, LLC, and we are thrilled to have an own son!

Not to be outdone, Nimrod’s dam, CR Smart Brow April, is also a proven money earner, with over $64,000 in money earned. She was a finalist NCHA Open Super Stakes, finalist NCHA Open Derby, finalist NCHA Super Stakes Open Classic, finalist Abilene Spectacular Open Derby, finalist Cattlemens Open Derby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
